Lunana Snowman Trek - 24 days

Bhutan Nature Trek Highlights:
This trek is recognized by enthusiasts as the toughest trek in the world because of its altitude, distance, climate and remoteness. At the same time the Lunana region of Bhutan is one of the least visited but most beautiful areas of the world. Though many trekkers have been unable to finish the entire trek, due to which we have developed a certain strategies in our trip plan to help you complete the entire distance in 18 days by including acclimatization for first 3 days in Bhutan, rest days, and cultural experiences that would keep you refreshed and encouraged all along the way.
You may not have to be brave; you just need be committed and determined. Your experienced guide will help you set the needed pace for each day of the trek. Careful planning for each trek to the Lunana region includes our expert local guide, horse back for load transportation, cold weather equipment, and a cook. From the time of your arrival you will be cared for and briefed exactly what to expect. Your guides are fully equipped to deal all emergencies that could happen.






Itinerary in Details :

Day 01 : Arrival at Paro Airport & transfer to hotel and visit to Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong and Kyichu Lhagang.
Day 02 : Hike to Taktsang monastery and evening drive to Thimphu. (Mainly to acclimatize)
Day 03 : Sightseeing in Thimphu. After noon drive to Punakha sightseeing - Camping.
Day 04 : Start of Snowman trek. Trek from Punakha – Tashithang – Geondamji - Camping
Day 05 : Trek from Geon damji to Gasa,
Day 06 : Trek from Gasa to Koena
Day 07 : Trek from Koena to Laya
Day 08 : Rest day at Laya and to explore Laya village.
Day 09 : Trek from Laya to Rodophu
Day 10 : Trek from Rodophu to Narithang
Day 11 : Trek from Narithang to Tarina
Day 12 : Trek from Tarina to Woche
Day 13 : Trek from Woche to Lhedi
Day 14 : Trek from Lhedi to Thanza
Day 15 : Rest day at Thanza
Day 16 : Trek from Thanza to Tshochena
Day 17 : Trek from Tshochena to Jichu Dramo
Day 18 : Trek from Jichu Dramo to Chukarpo
Day 19 : Trek from Chukarpo to Tampetsho
Day 20 : Trek from Tampetsho to Maorothang
Day 21 : Trek from Maorothang to Nikachu (End of trek).
Day 22 : Drive from Nikachu to Thimphu.
Day 23 : Sightseeing in Thimphu - Evening drive to Paro
Day 24 : Drive to airport for flight to your onward destination
